2. Data Processing

The safety of your data is important to us. The preceding sentence is a lie, as it is the case for all other organisations that start their privacy statement llike this. The safety of our own data is important to us, and the legislator has formulated a strong (and absolutely laudable) opinion, that we should handle other people's data with care, too. At least, if our money is important to us. It is.

2.1 Cookies

We try not to set any. That is not always easy, because server software likes cookies. In the unlikely case that you find a cookie on your computer that has been set by us, you are free to keep it, of course. Please drop us a hint, that our attempt to not set cookies failed, so we can fix the bug.

Beyond that, by using this website you agree to courageously endure even the most vicious cookies that managed to escape our attention. In return, we agree that we won't use any data we obtained via cookies for anything except deleting it on sight.

2.2 Logfiles

The server software writes logfiles to ensure proper operation and in order to enable us to detect and examine incidents that affect security. At least one entry per page request (i.e. for every „mouse-klick“ you make) is written to the logfiles. Each entry consists of the current time, the requested URL, the IP-address of the requesting computer, the type identification the webbrowser sends (the so called „User-Agent“) and in some cases the information, on which page the hyperlink that has been used to generate the request (the „Referrer“) is located.

Logfiles are kept for 7 days.

Legal basis is Article 6 (1f) GDPR („legitimate interests“).

2.3 Data generated by you contacting us…

…is processed on the legal basis of Article 6 (1a) GDPR („consent“). This is e.g. the case when you write us a letter or an e-mail, or when you contact us by phone.

2.4 Hosting

This website is delivered from a server that has been rented from and is housed by Hetzner Online GmbH. A data processing agreement compliant with §62 BDSG between us and Hetzner Online GmbH is operative.

3. Your Rights

Article 15 to 21 GDPR grants you a number of rights, including the right of access, the rights to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, as well as the right to object. Please contact us using the channels listed under Imprint to exercise these rights.
